La Veranda
La Veranda's floor-to-ceiling windows, indoor and al fresco seating, and refined atmosphere make it the perfect place to enjoy buffet breakfast and lunch, often featuring international themes. À la carte menus are also available. In the evening, La Veranda is transformed into an elegant, reservation-only dining venue featuring gourmet cuisine (on The Gauguin only. La Veranda is only open for breakfast and lunch on The Moana.)

Le Grill
For a more casual dining experience, join us at Le Grill. Greet the sun with a buffet breakfast, or enjoy lunch by the pool on a choice of grilled favorites, salads, and fresh tropical fruits. At night, make new friends at dinner, as you savor Polynesian specialties in a relaxed atmosphere.

The culinary creations of Jean-Pierre Vigato, Chef Propriétaire of the world-renowned, Michelin-starred Restaurant Apicius in Paris, are featured aboard both vessels. Enjoy Chef Vigato’s signature cuisine in L’Etoile aboard The Moana. Aboard The Gauguin, Chef Vigato’s cuisine will be featured in La Veranda.

Kids World

Paul Gauguin Cruises offers a unique program for children on select voyages of the m/s Paul Gauguin. Developed by Jean-Michel Cousteau’s Ocean Futures Society, our groundbreaking Ambassadors of the Environment (AOTE) Youth Program introduces young travelers (ages 9 to 17) to the extraordinary natural wonders of French Polynesia through direct, hands-on, interactive experiences with marine and island ecosystems.

Under the guidance of expert Ocean Futures Society naturalists, your children will enjoy a suite of onboard activities and daily excursions that reveal the natural wonders and rich culture of Polynesia both on land and in the sea. Some of the activities that may be included in the program are lectures, day and night snorkeling, swimming with rays and sharks, onboard games and activities, cycling, rainforest hikes, and sustainable living lessons.

Nightlife

Les Gauguines & Les Gauguins
On every voyage of The Gauguin,  their own troupe of Tahitian host/entertainers brings the spirit of Polynesia to life for the guests. Enjoy a performance in Le Grand Salon, in which these talented performers retell ancestral legends through dance. Attend a Polynesian blessing ceremony for couples celebrating a honeymoon or anniversary. Delight in traditional songs crooned in La Palette lounge aboard or at their private motu. And learn local handicrafts such as pareo tying during hands-on demonstrations.

Le Grand Salon
Evenings aboard The Gauguin feature spectacular performances in the ship's main lounge. Every voyage features an electrifying Polynesian show by their beloved troupe of entertainers, Les Gauguines and Les Gauguins. Another show might feature a guest Polynesian troupe offering a thrilling performance of ote'a—a complex line dance accompanied by drums telling the ancestral legends of the Polynesian people. On other nights, you might marvel at the skill of a pianist … tap your foot to a rock band … or hum along to familiar tunes performed by a veteran of Broadway. The selection of entertainment is sure to make every evening a pleasure!

La Palette
In this versatile lounge, you can enjoy a morning snack or afternoon tea, attend a honeymoon/anniversary blessing ceremony, or enjoy a nightcap and dance under the stars to the strains of live music.

Casino and Piano Bar
Every evening (except when prohibited by port regulations), you can try your luck in Le Casino, featuring slot machines, blackjack, and stud poker. Or relax with a drink at the Piano Bar, enjoying live entertainment.

Onboard Activities

Enjoy a refreshing dip in their onboard swimming pool, located under the sky deck.  Or perhaps you’ll simply relax poolside in a deck chair, with a good book and a beverage from the Pool Bar. The Gauguin is the only luxury ship in French Polynesia to offer PADI certification on board for novice divers, as well as refresher courses.

The Gauguin’s SCUBA diving excursions are designed for all levels of experience, and we are the only luxury ship in the French Polynesian islands to offer PADI certification onboard for novice divers, as well as refresher courses.
